PROTEA CARNIVAL RED

Carnival Red is a dense-growing Leucospermum. The protea has soft, mid-green foliage and produces masses of stunning, bright red pincushion flowers throughout spring. The protea family are equally at home in display pots or garden beds, as a feature plant, mass planting or borders/hedges and are low maintenance.

Soil: Well-drained soil. If you have clay soils, use mounds to plant into to facilitate drainage. Be sure to use a native soil mix when planting. Exotic potting mix or exotic fertiliser will kill them.
Conditions: Full sun. Coast and drought tolerant. Will tolerate a light frost.
