Cupressus semp Glauca Pencil Pine / Mediterranean Cypress

Commonly known as a Pencil Pine, Cupressus sempervirens 'Glauca' forms dense dark green-blue foliage in an upright columnar manner. This particular conifer produces less fruit than other pencil pine species, and has more blue shaded foliage. Cupressus sempervirens Glauca is used in many garden or landscape situations such as lining feature walls or fences, paths and driveways. They can also be planted in a pot or container. Cupressus Glauca thrives in moist, well drained soils with exposure to full sun, although it can adapt to suit semi shaded positions. This variety is frost hardy. Cupressus Glauca requires low maintenance. Prune as desired to encourage more compact growth. Keep plants well mulched and water well during dry spells. Cupressus Glauca can grow to a height of 15 metres and a width of 1 metre.
